Living Word Church

Whenever I see a new face in our church I’m reminded of a woman I read about who was looking for a church to accept her and love her. Following the advice of her doctor, she went to see a pastor to talk about joining the church. The woman had recently undergone a facelift and her doctor had released her with this advice:

"My dear, I have done an extraordinary job on your face, as you can see in the mirror. I have charged you a great deal of money and you were happy to pay it. But I want to give you some free advice. Find a group of people who love God and who will love you enough to help you deal with all the negative emotions inside of you. If you don’t you’ll be back in my office in a very short time with your face in far worse shape than before."

Most of us will probably not have a facelift, but all of us will at one time or another have to deal with negative emotions. Like this woman we need a group of people who love God and who will love us enough to help us deal with the anger, frustrations, and disappointments of life. 

Living Word Church is one place where you will find such people. Our mission can be summed up in four words: Loving God, loving people.

We are a fellowship where people from any denomination, background, race, or color can come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. We desire to help people cross physical, spiritual and emotional barriers to grow in rich relationships in Christ.

If you are looking for a group of perfect people, you won’t find them here. We are far from perfect. But we are learning, growing, and trusting God to guide and direct us. He is a perfect God ministering to imperfect people.
